LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS OF 1950 FORWARD POCKET By PERCY TAYLOR

Argus 5 August 1950 p. 8 The Argus Week-End Magazine

BRUCE COMBEN, young member of a well-known sporting family in Werribee, is another two-footer. He is a splendid kick, and shows tons of courage. He seems sure to develop into a fine player when he gains the experience that is so essential. He is a grocer, employed in the family shop m Werribee, and is just as keen on cricket as are the rest of the family. His father, Aub, had a few senior games of football with Geelong.
