KEVIN DILLON came to Richmond from the University Blacks, and was formerly with Old Xaverians. He also was hard to get He was residentially tied to Richmond, and club officials wanted his services some years ago, but he was then in residence at Newman College, and the rules there forbid a student playing senior football. Last year he completed his studies, and is now a Bachelor of Commerce, employed on the executive side of a motor-car firm. When he had his first game with Richmond last year he was tried as a half-back flanker, then as a wing half-forward, and, on some occasion, as a rover. Now he is well established on the wing.
Kevin is a strong player, and is the answer to a coach's dream in the way he tackles an opponent, grabbing him by the- hips and pulling him down to the ground without ever giving away a free kick. His passing is not the best feature of his play, but he is the type of player who will think this out for himself and overcome it.
Kevin is single, and lives with his parents in Kew. He plays tennis for recreation in the summer, and is also fond of swimming.
