Melba Studios

Photographers

Introduction

Melba Studios were a large studio with a number of interstate offices. The Melbourne Office was established by Charles Carter around 1896. The studios provided the usual array of wedding and portrait work. Most examples of Football players and Teams appear to be from the Studio's Sydney Office.

Known Locations were:
  • Corner of Collins and Swanston Street Melbourne
  • Market Street Sydney, Pitt St Sydney
  • Queen Street Brisbane
  • Broken Hill
