Don Bradman was an Australian Cricketer relatively popular in the 1930s (well ok... maybe a bit more famous than that). On 18 November 1932, just a week after this photo appeared in the paper, the England team employed a new tactic against an Australian XI, bowling at the body and packing the leg side with fielders. This Bodyline tactic was designed to defeat Bradman and make the 1932-33 tour one of the most famous in Cricket history.
