1954 Coach of the Seconds was probably Don Comben. A 1955 Argus article identifies that Comben was 'reappointed' for 1955, therefore he had coached in 1954.
Comben again South coach. (1955, March 9). The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1956), p. 33. Retrieved July 22, 2012, from http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article71637538(external link)
